- Donald Trump and Mike Pence, Friday (20/01/2017), officially became the 45th President of the United States after reciting the oath in Washington DC.
Right around noon local time, Donald Trump recited the oath of office guided justices John J Roberts Jr.
Accompanied by his wife, Melania, a property businessman raised his right hand, while his left hand is superimposed on top of scripture held by his wife.
He used two Bibles, one of his own and the other one is the property of Abraham Lincoln.
"Follow all my words," said justices John J Roberts Jr.
Trump then mimicking the spoken word for word the judge until the last word.
"I, Donald John Trump, swear that I will perform my position as President of the United States and with the rest of my ability preserve, protect and defend the United States Constitution. God help me," said Trump.
At the end of the reading of the oath, Judge Roberts immediately congratulated.
After reading the oath, Trump then kissed his wife, then took the children and family members who are in the stage of honor.
Trump then shook his predecessor, Barack Obama, former Vice President Joe Biden, as well as a number of other invitations.
A few minutes earlier, Vice President-elect Mike Pence also took the oath of office
